What happens at a MOPS meeting?
A MOPS morning is filled with informal refreshments, speakers sharing a variety of relevant topics, meaningful small group discussions and creative activities. Each morning is especially designed for YOU!
This sounds great! But how much does all this cost?
MOPS wants to be available to every mother of preschoolers,
so if money is an issue and you need MOPS then go ahead and
fill out the registration form and check the box indicating you are interested in a scholarship.
We do have costs involved in running the meetings
- crafts, refreshments, etc. So we ask those that can to pay a $40 registration fee per semester.
See someone on the Steering Team if
you have any questions.
Child Care is currently $35 for the first child enrolled and $25 for each additional child enrolled. Please
register your children for MOPPETS prior to bringing them to your first meeting so we can plan accordingly for childcare staff.
(Learn more about MOPPETS) Again, if money is
tight, please let us know and we can work something out here also. |
I am pregnant, can I join MOPS now?
Yes. MOPS is for all mothers (and mothers to be) of children ages birth through kindergarten. Indicate your due date on the registration form so we can reserve a place for your child in MOPPETS.
What is MOPS to Mom Connection ?
When you register, you will receive a package of benefits that includes a subscription to the MOMSense magazine, Mom-E-Mail, free books, videos, and other great offers.
My daughter threw up this morning, but I could really use a break. Can I still come?
You may come, just leave your daughter with someone else!
We need to be considerate of others here, and bringing a child
that is sick to MOPS only makes it so next week twice as many
moms will not be able to come because their kids are now sick.
How do I make an announcement at MOPS?
Please contact the MOPS Coordinator if there is something that may be appropriate to announce at a MOPS meeting. MOPS meeting announcements should be short. Please refrain from promoting any business/party during the MOPS meeting. Occasonally we have a speaker who has a topic-related product to promote, but we try to avoid this as enterprise is not the purpose of MOPS. Advertising in the MOPS newsletter can be arranged through the donation program, please contact the Coordinator for more details.
How can I get more involved with MOPS?
MOPS mornings are designed for you but it takes many of us to make them happen. You can help by volunteering! Contact the Coordinator to see where we can use help!
